The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is a national conservation force of high school and college volunteers who protect our parks and restore our environment. SCA members serve every day, in every state, as rangers, researchers, educators and in other critically needed capacities. Rendering 1.5 million hours of service annually, SCA volunteers make substantial contributions to America’s public lands while developing a powerful ethic of conservation. Since 1957, SCA’s hands-on practice of conservation has helped to build new generations of conservation leaders, inspire a lifetime of stewardship, and save the planet.
AE is the presenting sponsor of SCA’s 50th anniversary events, including EarthVision: Actions for a Healthy Planet, a landmark youth in conservation summit in Washington, DC in April 2008. AE is also a proud sponsor of the SCA’s Three Rivers Conservation Leadership Corps and provides the official SCA T-shirt for all its high school and college student members.
